Entrepreneurial Workshops

Picture
2 Ethics Workshops
(3 LCAT Hours, includes 3 ATR Ethics CE Hours Each)

Each workshop is $90 or you can take both for $150

MARCH
Sunday 3/5   9:00am-12:00pm

Meets new NY Requirement for 3 hours on maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
The Ethical Therapist I
In this workshop, we will tackle the importance of professional identity and how setting boundaries creates a framework for more ethical behavior on our part. We will touch on boundaries with clients from the start of therapy to termination, using paperwork to support yourself as an ethical therapist, and what to do if an ethical line is crossed by client/therapist/someone else.

APRIL
Sunday 4/23   9:00am-12:00pm

The Ethical Therapist II

Our focus for this workshop will be suicidal ideation and the other topics/challenges/issues clients bring into session that can be very scary or worrisome for therapists. We will touch on both agency work and considerations in private practice as we work through personal/professional feelings around these experiences and develop the awareness and tools to handle these moments when they arise in the work we do.

2 Supervision Workshops
(3 LCAT Hours, includes 3 ATR Supervision CE Hours Each)

Each workshop is $90 or you can take both for $150

Supervising students, limited permit license holders, or peers can be an amazing experience! It can also be challenging because rarely do we receive adequate training to take on this role as a leader and guide for others. We often rely on our own innate abilities and our therapist skills.

MAY
Sunday 5/7   9:00am-12:00pm

Supervising: Becoming a Leader I
This workshop will help you take the skills you already have and learn how to apply them during supervision meetings, when conflict arises, and when guiding challenging or talented supervisees.

Sunday 5/21   9:00am-12:00pm
Supervising: Becoming a Leader II

This workshop will focus on how supervisors can handle difficult conversations, the art of not knowing (and often admitting it), balancing agency messages with personal thoughts, and creating a safe space for supervisees to bring in anything while not burning out as the supervisor.
